Bishop Burton is an official academy of Pentathlon GB and home of Yorkshire Pentathlon.

The college runs training academies to support talented athletes in the sport, as well as supporting newcomers.

About the Academy

The academy helps prepare athletes for their Pentathlon GB competition programme. Students can join the academy in the 16+ group and progress through to degree-level to continue the opportunity to balance high performance training with academic studies.

This programme is ideal for pentathletes who are aiming to compete at the highest level.

Entry Criteria

Prospective academy players must have applied for a course at Bishop Burton. Academy players will normally have already performed at a high level but the criteria is not exclusive and all applications are considered.

Scholarships players on the 16+ programme have the opportunity to purchase heavily subsidised gym membership and training kit to support their development.

How to Apply

Academy members can study any course at Bishop Burton College. During the application process, students have the opportunity to indicate their interest in joining the academy. A member of the coaching team will be in contact once your application has been submitted.

Partnered with Pentathlon GB
